Hi,
It was good to see you. Oh how I wanted to hold you and let you break down in my arms. You are a beautiful, amazing man and I am so proud of you.
I am just reading the chapter you told me about on celibacy in Cloister Walk by Kathleen Norris. I love the paragraph on page 118 where it says
“Any marriage has times of separation, ill health, or just plain crankiness in which sexual intercourse is ill advised. And it is precisely the skills of celibate friendship–fostering intimacy through letters, conversation…that can help a marriage survive the rough spots.”
This is truly a gift to us–to have this opportunity to know new depths of each other through letters. I sure wish I could make love to you as well, in the flesh, but for now I guess we have no choice.
Do you remember the night Kayt and Nyagel were so sick and you went to pick up Gatchuk from his job late at night. You came home to pick up medicine for Nyagel and you spent time talking in the driveway with him. What a blessing you were to him. What a gift they were to us also.
Remember cooking up tri-tip, potatoes and pineapple with Robert, Charles and Deron visiting. Another good memory. I just look up to you so much. You are a servant to others and God will bless you for that.
I can’t wait until you are home and we can all 4 pile in our big bed in the morning when the kids wake up. We can tickle them until they giggle like crazy and cry for joy that Daddy is back. What a fun day that will be.
My love, we’ve made it through another day. Thank you Jesus. Help us tomorrow Lord and we pray for your Spirit to help us respond in ways that are pleasing to you. Bless my dear sweet husband and protct him. Amen.
Love, Kirsti
